I was scared when I learned my mom had to go to a skilled nursing facility after her hip surgery.... At Southgate Health Care Center there are 144 residents staying there that are on Medicare or Medicaid. He runs around putting out fires just so the place isn't shut down. My family member has suffered there for months. It is cold and not flavorful.Go ahead and visit it at lunch time or dinner.It is a quality of life issue that is being disregarded. Even when the health department is called, things are over looked. We could not understand why nothing was being done. Many people that live there have fly swatters the flies are so bad.

The people there seemed quite cooperative too. Clean, friendly, always there with a smile no... This is my second time here at Southgate . The staff here are very accommodating, caring, loving and compassionate ....
